Your Voice Matters: Page County Residents Encouraged to Attend Comprehensive Plan Meeting Oct. 9
PAGE COUNTY, Va. — Local residents are being asked to help shape the county’s growth and development for the next 20 years and beyond.
A Comprehensive Plan public meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The meeting, being held at the Stanley Fire Hall, will give residents an opportunity to ask questions of the Page County Planning Commission, county staff, and comprehensive plan subcommittee members who have been working on updating the plan for the past year.
Staff will host several information stations where the public can review proposed goals and policies related to land use, housing, the economy, and more.
The event will also mark the official launch of a county-wide community survey, which will include detailed questions about the plan’s recommendations and priorities.
According to county staff, public input is critical because the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a long-range guide for land-use decisions made by both the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.
The draft version of the plan outlines a vision for Page County that balances agricultural preservation, rural character, economic vitality, and natural resource protection. It is organized into nine chapters:
1. Overview
2. Regional Setting
3. Natural Resources
4. Population
5. Economy
6. Housing
7. Community Facilities
8. Transportation
9. Land Use
The Stanley Fire Hall is located at 190 East Main Street, Stanley. For meeting questions or concerns, contact Josh Hahn at jhahn@pagecounty.virginia.gov or (540) 843-3456.
