Young Mother Killed in Page County Crash
Community support grows as a fundraiser is launched for her family
PAGE COUNTY, Va. — A Luray woman died Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).
The incident occurred July 10, 2026.
According to VSP, at approximately 3:13 p.m., the driver veered off the right side of the road, came back onto the road, crossed the centerline, and then went off of the left side of the road. The vehicle traveled up an embankment before striking a tree and a wire fence.
The driver, Elsa Grace Torres, 32, of Luray, died at the scene.
Two juvenile passengers suffered minor injuries.

On July 10, 2026, our beloved daughter, sister, mother, partner, niece, and granddaughter, Elsa Grace Torres, lost her life in a tragic car accident.
She is survived by her four children, Isaac, Penelope, Phoenix, and Indie, as well as her partner, Jeff, seven siblings, mother, large extended family, and many close friends.
Elsa touched many lives during her 32 years on this earth.
The family is both overwhelmed and grateful for the outpouring of stories from people who loved her and people she helped with childcare, housing, and sobriety.
Elsa was a kind, funny, and generous person. As we look to the future, there is a hole in our lives that can never be filled.
The family is asking for donations for funeral and burial costs.
As Elsa was two days away from moving when she passed, any remaining funds will go to Jeff and her children, to get settled in their new home.
