LURAY, Va. — Three Page County schools placed among the top five in Region IV in separate performance categories under Virginia’s School Performance and Support Framework.
According to an October 8 social media post by Page County Public Schools, the results were released by the Virginia Department of Education.
The region includes Page County and 18 other school divisions, including some of the state’s largest school systems.
Page County High School ranked fourth among the region’s high schools in overall performance, earning a framework score of 105.91.
It also placed among the top five for gains in its overall score and overall 3E readiness.
Page County Middle School ranked among the top five for gains in its overall framework score, while Luray Middle School placed among the top five for advanced coursework.
Across the division’s eight schools, three received “Distinguished” ratings, three were rated “Meets Expectations” and two were rated “Approaching Expectations.”
No schools were designated as needing intensive support.
