Three Page County Organizations Awarded SVEC Grants
LURAY, Va. — Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) has announced recipients of its first round of 2026 Operation Round Up grants.
Three Page County organizations were among those named.
Living Legacy: Funds will be used to provide safe transportation four days a week for Page County youth attending The Rec’s after school programs.
Page One: Funds to be used for emergency financial assistance for clients, including rent, utilities and food pantry purchases.
Friends of the Shenandoah River: Funds will be used to support the Summer E. coli Testing Program on Hawksbill Creek.
Friends of the Shenandoah River also received a matching grant from the CoBank Sharing Success program.
Operation Round Up first began providing funds to community organizations in 2018.
The program builds a charitable fund through co-op members who voluntarily round up their bills each month. An annual corporate contribution also supports the mission.
