Three Page County Organizations Awarded SVEC Grants
LURAY, Va. — The Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) recently announced the recipients of its final round of 2025 Operation Round Up grants. Three Page County organizations were among those named.
Blue Ridge Youth Theater will receive funds toward its Christmas production, to include expenses related to royalties, costumes and advertising.
The Hawksbill Greenway Foundation will receive funds toward the Greenway’s extension and historic park final design for construction blueprints and permit costs.
The Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department will receive funds needed to update the department’s four gas meters. New gas meters will ensure firefighter safety and detect lethal and explosive level of gases.
Operation Round Up first began providing funds to community organizations in 2018. The program builds a charitable fund through co-op members who voluntarily round up their bills each month. An annual corporate contribution also supports the mission.
A complete list of recent Operation Round Up grand recipients may be found HERE.
Funds are available to any group, charity or organization that serves SVEC members.
