Task Force Cracks Down on Front Royal Vape Shops Selling Marijuana
Street value of seized products exceeds $930,000.
FRONT ROYAL, Va. — The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Gang Task Force has concluded a nine-month investigation with a large seizure of narcotics, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).
The task force is comprised of law enforcement personnel from Clarke, Frederick, Page, Warren, and Shenandoah County Sheriff's Departments, Front Royal, Luray, Strasburg, and Winchester Police Departments and the VSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Culpeper Field Office.
According to a media release from VSP Sergeant Brent W. Coffey, during the course of the recent investigation, officers learned of Front Royal vape shops that were selling marijuana and THC vapes.
On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, officers executed multiple search warrants at businesses and residences in Front Royal and Warren County, along with a business in Prince William County.
As a result of the operation, the task force seized 19,032 products containing THC with a street value of $932,602.
In addition, three firearms and $16,033 in U.S. currency were also recovered.
No charges have been placed, but the case remains active and ongoing.
