Stanley Volunteer Fire Department Brings New Truck Home
STANLEY, Va. — The Stanley Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) has added a 2008 Pierce Impel pumper to its fleet — a purchase officials say will strengthen the department’s emergency response capabilities.
“The addition of this engine is an important investment in our department and our community,” said SVFD Captain Colin W. Huffman.
On July 18, 2026, the department purchased the truck from Centre Square Fire Company (CSFC) in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
SVFD members K.L Painter, Lt. Ethan Knight (and son Parker), Chief Jason Pettit, Mike Lloyd and Engineer Brennan Stoneberger made the ten-hour round-trip to bring the pumper home to Page County.

This Saturday, we said goodbye to Engine 33 as it began its next chapter with Stanley Volunteer Fire Department CO.24.
While it’s bittersweet to see the Engine go after 18 years, we’re excited for what’s ahead and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new Squad 33 to take its place.
“We’re grateful to Centre Square Fire Company for the opportunity to purchase it, and we appreciate the continued support of our community,” added Huffman. “Over the next several weeks, our members will equip the engine, complete training and prepare it for full service.”
