Stanley Fire Department Delivers Food Donations to Elementary Students

STANLEY, Va. — The Stanley Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) recently collected donations to support a local organization that provides food bags for elementary school students.

Casey’s Backpack Kids is a nonprofit organization that relies solely on donations to help ensure that community children have access to food during school breaks.

SVFD members delivered food care packages to Stanley Elementary School in mid December.

The department thanked all members who contributed to the effort and encouraged continued community support of Casey’s Backpack Kids.
