Propane Leak Prompts Emergency Response in Shenandoah
SHENANDOAH, Va. — Fire Company 70 responded to a propane leak Saturday afternoon at the AmeriGas bulk fill facility on South Third Street.
Crews were dispatched to the facility around 2 p.m. and immediately began performing vapor suppression.
While there was no immediate threat to the community during the incident, authorities asked residents to temporarily avoid the area.
At approximately 7 p.m., AmeriGas personnel was on scene assembling crews to offload the remaining propane product, and local fire crews were able to clear the scene.
