PCSO Deputy Involved in US 211 Crash
LURAY, Va. — A local deputy was involved in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning.
A written statement ftom the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) indicated that the crash occurred about 5:30 a.m., as the deputy was traveling westbound’on U.S. 211.
One witness indicated that the cruiser was upside down after the crash. A second described the condition of the vehicle as “horrific.”
According to additional witness reports, westbound lanes were temporarily closed near Rainbow Hill while first responders worked the scene. Traffic was temporarily rerouted via Hamburg Road.
The PCSO deputy was transported to Page Memorial Hospital and was released after a standard evaluation.
No additional property damage was reported, and no other individuals were involved.
In accordance with standard protocol, the PCSO has turned the incident over to Virginia State Police for a thorough investigation.
