Page County’s Shenandoah Library Branch Welcomes New Manager
PAGE COUNTY, Va. — The Massanutten Regional Library (MRL) system has announced the hiring of Becky Deloney as the new Branch Manager of the Shenandoah Community Library (SCL).
In her new role, Deloney will oversee branch programming, strengthen partnerships with local organizations, assist library patrons, and manage the branch’s collection of books and resources.
Deloney’s connection to libraries began during her time at James Madison University, where she worked at Carrier Library. She later returned to serve in the Technical Services and Cataloging Department.
“I am excited to be the Branch Manager at SCL because I have loved libraries from a young age,” Deloney said.
Her background includes more than a decade of experience in both education and libraries, including time at the circulation desk at Central Library in Harrisonburg.
“My biggest goal is getting to know the community in order to expand programming and library usage,” said Deloney. “I am thrilled to learn more about Shenandoah, as I already appreciate its beauty and friendly people!”
MRL Director Zach Elder expressed enthusiasm about her return to the system. “I’m so excited for Becky rejoining us because she has such a passion for community librarianship,” stated Elder. “Her friendliness and compassion will match well with Shenandoah’s residents.”
