Page County Officers Recognized on 'Law Enforcement Appreciation Day'
LURAY, Va. — On Friday, local law enforcement officers were recognized for their service to the Page County community.
Observed annually on January 9, “National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” was established in 2015 to encourage public recognition of those who serve in public safety roles.
Local agencies marked the occasion with social media posts honoring members of the Page County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s three police departments.
LURAY POLICE DEPARTMENT
Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and we’re more than proud to highlight the formidable force we have here at Luray PD.
Our team is highly competent and fearless while still showing our town how much heart they have. Luray is safer because of them.
We are grateful for everything they do.

PAGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
To my Deputies — and to our local and neighboring PDs —
On Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for having our backs, for the teamwork, and for the way you show up for each other and for our community.
Law enforcement today comes with a lot more than long shifts and tough calls.
The mental strain, the social pressure, and the political noise can wear you down. Some days are rewarding, some days are rough, and some days are just plain ugly. That’s why it matters so much that we stay strong and unified — and keep solid relationships with our local and neighboring agencies.
When we stand together, we help each other get through it all and we remind each other why we do this work.
Please know you are appreciated more than you probably hear.
I pray that God’s face shines upon every law enforcement officer here at home and across this nation — that He gives you protection, strength, and peace.
Thank you for everything you do.
— Sheriff Chad Cubbage
