Page County Jail Meets All Standards in Latest State Inspection
LURAY, Va. — The Page County Jail has received a 100% compliance certification from the Virginia Board of Local and Regional Jails, marking the 11th consecutive year the facility has met all required standards, according to the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
Sheriff Chad Cubbage and Captain Randall Williams announced the 2026 certification, which followed an inspection evaluating the jail’s adherence to state standards governing operations, safety and inmate care.
According to the PCSO, the certification reflects the jail’s compliance with policies and procedures related to safety, accountability and daily operations.
The review process assessed multiple areas of the facility, including administration, medical services, food service, maintenance and overall management.
Officials said achieving full compliance requires ongoing coordination among staff and consistent adherence to established standards.
The sheriff’s office credited corrections officers, medical personnel and support staff for their role in maintaining compliance.
The Virginia Board of Local and Regional Jails conducts periodic inspections of correctional facilities across the state to ensure they meet established operational and safety requirements.
