Page County Fire-EMS Names Phil Good as New Shift Supervisor
LURAY, Va. — Page County Fire-EMS recently promoted Phil Good to Shift Supervisor.
Good has nearly two decades of service, beginning as a volunteer with the Luray Volunteer Fire Department in 2006 and later joining the Virginia Department of Forestry, where he still serves.
He also worked with Shenandoah County Fire and Rescue, earning promotion to Master Firefighter in 2018, and graduated from the Virginia Fire Officer Academy in 2022.
Good joined Page County Fire-EMS in December 2024 and was promoted following a competitive process involving eight candidates and evaluations on résumés, certifications, interviews, peer reviews, and practical scenarios.
“Phil’s promotion is well deserved,” said Interim Director Woody Brown. “He excelled in a highly competitive promotional process, and his combination of volunteer and career experience, coupled with his leadership training, makes him a valuable asset to our department and the community we serve.”
Page County Fire-EMS congratulates Shift Supervisor Good and looks forward to his continued leadership.
