Page County 'Candidate Forum' to be Held October 1 in Stanley
Meet candidates running for the Board of Supervisors and the School Board
STANLEY, Va. — Page County residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from local candidates during the county’s first-ever candidate forum, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 at the Stanley Fire Hall.
The event, hosted by the Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley and the Page County Farm Bureau, will feature candidates running for the Page County Board of Supervisors and the Page County School Board.
The forum is designed to give voters a chance to ask questions about local issues while providing candidates the opportunity to share their priorities with constituents.
Questions will be submitted by attendees prior to the start of the forum.
Index cards will be provided at the door, and an impartial moderator will select questions to be read to the candidates.
Board of Supervisors candidates invited include:
At-Large Chair: Clifton B. “Bucky” Thomas, Michael Montgomery, and Jared A. Burner
District 1: Keith Guzy and Jeremy Baldwin*
District 4: Susan Kile*
District 5: Jeff Vaughan
School Board candidates invited include:
At-Large Chair: Duane Painter
District 5: M. “Charles” Queen, Jr., and Ana Maria Mendez*
*Candidates have not yet confirmed attendance.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for question submissions.
The evening will begin with opening remarks at 6 p.m., followed by the Board of Supervisors forum at 6:10 p.m. and the School Board forum at 7:30 p.m.
Organizers emphasized that the forum is intended to be a civil, nonpartisan discussion of the issues and an informative event for voters.
The forum will be held at 190 E. Main Street, Stanley.
