Page County Authorities Recover Stolen Firearms, Arrest Suspect
LURAY, Va. — The Page County Sheriff’s Office and the Luray Police Department recently executed a search warrant and recovered several stolen firearms.
According to authorities, the incident occurred Monday, January 5, 2026 in the Rileyville area. The stolen firearms were seized and a suspect was taken into custody.
Sheriff Chad Cubbage later thanked his staff, the Luray Police Department, and Chief Bow Cook — adding that the operation was handled professionally and without incident.
Cubbage noted that such cases often involve extensive surveillance and investigative work before they can be reported, and emphasized the agency’s ongoing efforts to keep Page County residents and visitors safe.
