Christine P. Redmon, 96, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 5, 1928, in Rileyville, Virginia, Christine devoted her life to her family.
Christine's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving, caring environment. Her fried chicken and coconut pies were staples at the annual Redmon and Printz family picnics. Holiday gatherings at her home were eagerly anticipated. Christine's love for nurturing things was evident in her abundant garden and beautiful flowers, which she nurtured for over 60 years. She will truly be missed.
After spending her formative years growing up on the family farm, she married and lived the life of a military spouse and mother. Chris and Ken traveled the country and lived in a few states before settling in Alexandria, Virginia in 1961.
After her husband's death in 1981, and her youngest child graduated from high school, Christine worked ten years for the federal government before retiring.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Ray Redmon; loving mother of Kenneth Redmon (Brenda Carr), Justin Redmon (the late Peppi Redmon), Jeffrey Redmon (Mary), David Redmon (Sheri), Deborah Stokes (Robert), and Linda Kirby (Bill). Cherished grandmother of Kristy, Katie, Ben, Brian, Megan, Alexis, Austin, Cassandra, Victor, and Mary Grace.
Loving great grandmother of Aiden, Adeline, Alijah, Asher, and Atlas. Survived also by her brother, James Printz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Printz, and eight siblings.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Christine's companion and caregiver, Bea. Over the last five years, Bea was always with her. Bea's love, care, and sense of humor with Christine will always be appreciated by her family.
