New Page County Public Schools Superintendent Named
Additional staffing changes and administration appointments also announced
LURAY, Va. — Page County Public Schools (PCPS) has announced the appointment of a new division superintendent.
Dr. Bryan Huber will officially begin his new role on July 1, 2025 when current superintendent, Dr. Antonia Fox, steps down.
Dr. Huber has been a Virginia educator for the past 18 years, most recently serving as the PCPS Assistant Superintendent of Instruction.
Huber served seven years as Assistant Superintendent in Greene County and was formerly a mathematics teacher and assistant principal with the Augusta County school system. He also previously served as the Director of Transportation and as a principal with Rockingham County Schools.
Regarding his new position with PCPS, Huber issued the following statement:
I’m truly honored and incredibly excited to begin this journey together. It’s a privilege to serve a community that cares so deeply about its students, schools, and their future. I am enthusiastic and optimistic about what we can accomplish together.
As I transition into this role, my focus will be on student-centered decision making, empowering our amazing teachers and leaders, and building strong partnerships with families.
I believe that when we come together with shared purpose and passion, there is no limit to what we can achieve for our children and community.
Huber holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. In 2020, he was recognized by the Virginia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) as an Impact Award Winner.
Fox, who became PCPS superintendent in 2021, announced her plans to retire in January.
Earlier this month, PCPS also announced several other recent appointments and staffing changes.
Kimberly Cherry has been named the new principal of Springfield Elementary School.
Cherry replaces Dr. Martina Carroll, who has accepted a position as Supervisor of Student Support Services with Shenandoah County Public Schools.
Jennifer Hitt has been selected as the new principal of Page County Middle School. She is replacing Tanya Miller, who will now serve as Chief Financial Officer for PCPS.
Tara Meadows has been selected to serve as the next principal of Luray High School. Meadows will replace Nicky Clark, who will now serve as Director of School Administration.
Brandy Hilliard has been selected to serve as the next Director of Special Education. Hilliard is replacing Ellen Baker, who will be leaving PCPS to serve as the Director of Special Education with Shenandoah County Public Schools.
Retiring Luray High School Athletic Director Don Ehlers recently received a special honor that recognizes his 36 years of dedication. The school’s “Bulldog Hall” is now adorned with a plaque, renaming the spot as “Don Ehlers Hallway.”
Patty Secrist, who most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer with PCPS, has been named Ehler’s replacement.
Page County Public Schools is currently accepting employment applications for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.
