Luray Police Bust Theft Operation, Two Arrested
LURAY, Va. — Two men were arrested Tuesday morning after police recovered a large quantity of suspected stolen merchandise in their possession.
Acccording to the Luray Police Department (LPD), officers received information about a vehicle believed to be transporting stolen goods into town at 7:45 a.m. on April 21, 2026.
The vehicle was said to be occupied by two wanted men, and was ultimately discovered at the 7-Eleven at 1034 U.S. Highway 211.
During the investigation, officers determined the men had been using the vehicle and were at a nearby Walmart, possibly continuing theft-related activity.
Police later located the suspects in another vehicle containing a large quantity of suspected stolen merchandise.
With assistance from the Page County Sheriff’s Office, both men were taken into custody without incident.
Search warrants were obtained for both vehicles, leading to the recovery and seizure of stolen merchandise.
A total of six warrants were served in connection with the incident.
The men arrested were identified as Adam Ritenour, 42, of Edinburg, and Christopher Ritenour, 51, of Waynesboro.
They were arrested and are being held without bond at the Page County Jail.
