Luray Fire Department Sportsmen's Raffle Tickets Now Available

LURAY, Va. — The Luray Fire Department (LFD) has announced ticket sale dates and prizes for this year’s Sportsmen’s Raffle.
Beginning Sunday, February 16, 2025, tickets will be available for sale at Lancaster Enterprises, 1 Mechanic Street, Luray.

Tickets are $100 each
Raffle date is March 15, 2025
Doors open at 3:00 p.m.
Drawings begin at 4 p.m.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Drawings resume at 7 p.m.
Only 500 tickets will be sold (1 in 7 chance of winning). There’s no limit to how many tickets an individual can purchase. LFD will make an announcement when all tickets have been sold (this story will also be updated at that time).
This annual event is made possible by locally owned and operated Blue Ridge Outdoor Supplies, longtime-family-supporters of the LFD.
Dinner will include hors d'oeuvres, prime rib, chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls, drinks and desserts.
Proceeds will benefit LFD and be applied toward operational costs.
“We are blessed by our community members,” said LFD Treasurer Tim Lansberry. “Their support ensures that our 100% volunteer department is able to respond to emergencies, prepared with the newest and most efficient technology in the fire service.”

Legal Stuff
Names must be printed clearly on each ticket, and tickets must be presented for event/dinner admission. Need not be present to win, but must be 18 years or older to claim prizes. Winners will be notified individually.
The person whose name appears on the ticket is the only person who can claim each prize. Tickets are not transferable. All prizes will be available for pick-up during business hours of Blue Ridge Outdoor Supplies, at 423 W. Spotswood Trail, Elkton.
Prizes must be claimed within 30 days after the event, and any business sponsoring or participating in the event assumes no liability for claims, injury or other damage arising out of the possession of any firearm through this ticket. Unclaimed prizes will become property of the Luray Fire Department Gaming Committee.
By accepting a ticket, the holder acknowledges the limitations of liability. Federal and state firearms law will apply.
Following the raffle, names of winners will be posted at the firehouse and also on the LFD Facebook page.
Any taxes or fees will be the responsibility of the winner. Identification will be required before prizes are awarded.
