Owning a dog and being irresponsible with the care of the animal, resulting in an “accidental,” unwanted pregnancy, is a HUGE problem, everywhere.
There are so many programs that assist owners with the cost of spay and neuter, so the cost shouldn’t be an excuse.
Unplanned pregnancy is preventable and there are no “accidents” — just irresponsible owners.
If someone decides to own a dog, they also need to be responsible in caring for the dog, to include spaying or neutering.
The shelters are full.
Many dogs die, nationwide, because humans can’t get their act together and stop the breeding cycle.
I love all dogs, but a pit of any kind is near and dear to my heart. I don’t own a whole pile of them, even though I’d like to, because I understand the financial impacts of owning a pet.
Simply put - humans need to do better, for ALL DOGS.
