Have a 'Cherry Picker' Hydraulic Lift? The Luray American Legion Needs Your Help
The following is a letter submitted by Richard Worrell, acting adjutant of the Luray American Legion.
Dear Editor:
The American Legion Post #22 resides in building that is 78 years old. Several times in recent years the membership has gone to the community requesting financial assistance to help maintain our building. Gratefully, the community always responded with many helpful donations.
Now, we find that a sign on our building, high above the front door, is in need of repainting. Paint on this sign has begun to peel and that looks unsightly. It’s not good for our residential neighbors to have to tolerate.
I’m writing to ask for the assistance of a local contractor that operates a hydraulic “cherry picker” type, or electric scissors lift platform to help us remove the sign. We would need that type of assistance one more time when the sign would be reinstalled at its high location.
As we are financially limited, we hope that such a contractor would be willing to donate the time and lift apparatus for this project.
Please contact Rich Worrell (540-843-2565) or Jim Fargo (540-860-1945) to lend your assistance. Thank you.
For God and Country,
Richard Worrell ~ Acting Adjutant
