Head-On Collision Kills Volunteer Fire and Rescue Member
WARREN COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Chester Gap man on Wednesday.
According to a VSP media release, the incident occurred September 10, 2025.
The crash occurred on Remount Road near the intersection of Summit Point Road.
At t 5:22 p.m., a 2003 Honda CR-V traveling southbound crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2000 Ford F-350.
The driver of the Honda, Michael C. Kisner, 49, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to a memorial page, Mike was a life-time member of the Front Royal Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company 1 and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #829. He worked for the town of Front Royal for 30 years.
The driver of the Ford, Benito Molina Viveros, 37, of Winchester, and his passenger, Darwin F. Aguilar, 35, sustained minor injuries. Both were properly restrained.
The crash remains under investigation.
