Corey Shenk Named Athletic Director at Page County High School
LURAY, Va. — Page County Public Schools (PCPS) has named Corey Shenk as the new athletic director of Page County High School.
According to a July, 2026 PCPS media release, Shenk most recently served as dean of students at Springfield and Luray elementary schools during the 2025-26 school year.
He brings experience as a head baseball and basketball coach, as well as a volunteer assistant athletic director at Luray High School. He previously served as an athletic director at another school,
School officials said Shenk’s experience as both an administrator and coach, along with his familiarity with the division, made him a strong choice to lead the school’s athletic program.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Shenk to Page County High School as Athletic Director.
Corey is a dedicated, student-centered leader who understands the important role that athletics and extracurricular activities play in the overall educational experience.

As athletic director, Shenk will oversee the school’s interscholastic athletic programs, coordinate athletic schedules and events, support coaches and student-athletes, and help ensure programs meet the division’s expectations for sportsmanship, academic achievement, safety and character.

Shenk succeeds the school’s previous athletic director, Ryne Powell.
According to a recent DNR story, Powell resigned from his role at PCPS to secure a position closer to his Bridgewater home.
