Camper Destroyed in Stanley Fire; No Injuries Reported
STANLEY, Va. — Last Tuesday, local firefighters battled a blaze that left a recreational vehicle a total loss.
The incident occurred on October 14, 2025.
At approximately 3:27 p.m., Company 24, Rescue 4 and Medic 240 were dispatched for a report of a house fire in the 300 block of Forest Drive, near US HWY 340.
When units arrived on scene, they found a camper fully-involved. Firefighters from Engine 24 pulled a hand line (fire hose) and started attacking the blaze.
Crews were able to contain the flames and protect a nearby camper. The first camper, however, was deemed a total loss.
The fire was marked under control just before 4 p.m.
No one was inside the vehicle at the time of the fire.
The cause is under investigation by the Page County Sheriff’s Office.
