STANLEY, Va. — A Page County man was arrested after he allegedly boarded a school bus and frightened children.
According to the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), a deputy was flagged down for reports of an individual yelling profanities at children on September 24, 2026.
The deputy responded to the 700 block of Dovel Hollow Road and located the school bus, but the adult individual had already left.
A video of the incident was later posted anonymously on social media.

A concerned parent also mentioned the incident at Thursday night’s regularly scheduled school board meeting.

After reviewing the incident video and interviewing witnesses, PCSO investigators identified the suspect as Daniel Wade Young of Stanley.
Young, 39, was charged with trespassing on school property and disorderly conduct.
He turned himself in at the Page County jail on September 25, and was arrested. He was later released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
According to a PCSO social media statement, additional charges are possible.
The investigation remains ongoing.
