Shenandoah Fire Department Battles Three Blazes in One Day
SHENANDOAH, Va. — Crews with the Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department Company 70 (SVFD) responded to three separate incidents on Monday.
At approximately 6:45 a.m. on February 9, 2026, firefighters arrived on-scene to find a garage heavily involved. Engine 702 and Tanker 701 responded with seven volunteers. The blaze was brought under control in less than 15 minutes.
At 8:40 a.m., crews responded to a report of a pickup truck fire, and upon arrival, found the vehicle fully involved. Attack 704 and Tanker 701 responded with seven volunteers. The fire was brought under control within minutes.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to another pickup truck fire that was threatening a nearby commercial business. Engine 703, Engine 702 and Tanker 701 responded with seven volunteers. The fire was brought under control within one minute of arrival.
No injuries were reported.
The SVFD acknowledged assistance from its mutual aid partners at the Elkton Volunteer Fire Company and also issued the following statement of appreciation:
